Hey there!!! Dr. Bec here, founder of Salt + Earth Co.! Today, I want to pull back the curtain and share my passion for crafting clean, effective magnesium products – all made from scratch with you and the planet in mind.
Why Magnesium?
As an Osteopathic and Naturopathic practitioner, I've seen firsthand how magnesium deficiency can impact our well-being. From muscle tension to sleep disturbances, this essential mineral plays a crucial role in overall health. But with so many magnesium products on the market, I felt there was a gap – a need for truly clean, bioavailable options that are perfect for the whole family, including bubbas and pregnant mummas.
Crafting and Formulating, using my Science background
I got down and dirty with extending my learnings. Combining my osteopathic and naturopathic training, along with bespoke formulation training, I set out to create an incredible formulation of topical magnesium cream. I physically created these products..... in my own kitchen! This is where I started!
Batch 1 was a disaster.
Batch 2 was a bit better.
Formulation 1 was in production for about 6 months before I changed it.
It just wasn't right. I had meticulously chosen every ingredient. The ingredients were correct. I just didn't have a bullet proof formulation.
Formulation 2 was improved, but wasn't quite right either.
A few tweak later, formulation 3 was created and... I nailed it! This is today's formulation of the Magnesium Cream that has been tried and tested and loved by many. This was rolled into the Calm and Dream Creams to create a truely incredible range of Magnesium Creams.
